This is the front of the tape delay unit-

as you can see there are two db meters to show the signal from the input and output. The faceplate is 3d printed and is not intended to be the final rendition. the final Faceplate will be milled out of a solid piece of aluminum and powder coated a sea-foam green and the bonnet will be the same gray as is now. There will be silkscreening to identify then make and model as well as its revision number, this will be done in white.

Here in the below image are the heads, 4 in all. There are three playback heads and one record. The machine will have a 3 pole wafer switch to select between the 3 playback heads. The 3 way rotary switch is the one in the center below the heads.

Here is a picture of one of the preamps I will be using to increse the voltage from the heads up to line level. This unit in particular is the second gain stage to ad a nice tube saturation to the output. The main gainstage will be 100% solid state, and will give a clean amplifacation to feed this tube pre. The obove image depicts a Schiit audio tube valhala 2 headphone amp and line pre circuit board removed from its OEM chassis and installed in this chassis which was from a Pioneer rt-707 7" reel to reel tape machine.
